    LM-ProPower's ergonomically designed handpieces with soft silicone handles give you a comfortable, relaxed grip as well as an excellent feel. The soft material dampens the vibrations and keeps your hands warm, preventing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other occupational physical problems in the arm. This non-slip grip is attained with the exchangeable and autoclavable LM-ErgoGrip silicone shells. The fact that the powder container is placed on the side of the device or the unit bridge in stead of on the handpiece itself makes the LM air polishing handpiece very light in weight and easily manoeuvrable.

    LM-ProPower handpieces are equipped with impressive LED lights. They effectively illuminate your working area, providing optimal shadowless visibility and reducing eye strain. The optimized colour temperature of the light (white-blue) creates a good contrast, making calculus and stains more visible even through the powder spray.

    The multifunctional foot pedal is convinient for the operating clinician.  It leaves your hands free for treating patients while controlling the power level within the chosen working mode with the pedal. You are also able to keep your eyes on the patient and simultaneously turn on/off the LED or choose the irrigation function with your foot.

  • Supragingival removal of biofilm

     

    LM-ProPower AirLED´s premium features make it a perfect cleaning tool for professional dental care. It can be used effectively and safely in periodontal treatment for both dispersion and mechanical removal of biofilm, plaque and stains in the oral cavity. It is a reliable treatment that does not harm the tooth surface.

    Biofilm is a soft bacteria layer consisting of a large number of different kinds of micro organisms.  It is located everywhere in our oral cavity. Implant surfaces are equally affected by biofilm. A thorough removal of biofilm is necessary when treating periodontitis both during the initial therapy and periodontal maintenance therapy.

    Air polishing can be used for example in regular prophylaxis and recall visits. For implant maintenance, air polishing provides a perfect solution which is tender yet powerful.

    Polishing powder jet has an abrasive impact and the level of it is depending on the powder type, air pressure, water/power ration, distance between the nozzle and tooth as well as the instrumentation time on the tooth surface. During air polishing treatment it is therefore important to keep the nozzle constantly moving in a circulate motion and protect the soft tissue area. The LM-AirLED has a significantly narrower nozzle jet compared with other competing devices and is easy to target into the treatment area reducing the risks for soft tissue damage.

  • Subgingival removal of biofilm

    Subgingival air polishing is a safe and effective method for biofilm removal and dissolution. With a specially designed subgingival nozzle it is easy to access deep periodontal pockets and furcations. Subgingival air polishing treatment is useful in prophylaxis and maintenance therapy. For implant therapy, air polishing provides a perfect solution which is gentle yet powerful.

    Easy access with LM-Sub A nozzle

    The removal of subgingival biofilm has to be done regularly since the biofilm formation occurs rapidly. To help this frequently done subgingival cleaning, LM-sub nozzle was invented.

    This nozzle is uniquely designed for subgingival treatment. It has an universal design which allows clinicians to work in all sides in dental arch without changing the nozzle. The LM-Sub A nozzle has a lasermarked WHO-scale on it which helps to check the depth of the gingival pocket while cleaning. The tip of the nozzle is very slimly shaped.

    The nozzle construction has two holes for the jet spray on each side. The holes are situated on the sides of the tip and the direction of the flow is angled towards the tooth and tissue. This makes it more atraumatic than nozzles with horizontal flows.

    The LM-Sub A nozzle tip is also conically shaped at the end, so it enables an easier and less traumatic access into the periodontal pocket. The construction of the nozzle limits the flow for a gentler subgingival treatment.

    LM-ProPower AirLED is highly adaptable for several procedures. It is useful method for example in prophylaxis, periodontal treatment, diagnostics of stains and discolorations and implant maintenance treatment. It removes and dissolves effectively supra- and subgingival biofilm.

    The LM air polishing powder range consists of Sodium Bicarbonate and Calcium Carbonate powders for supragingival periodontal therapy and gentler Glycine for subgingival use. For added patient comfort the Sodium Bicarbonate powders are available in five delicious flavours; lemon, black raspberry, spearmint, cherry and neutral. All of them sweetened with natural Xylitol for even more pleasant taste.
