LM-Instruments Oy develops, manufactures and markets dental hand instruments, ultrasonic and air polishing devices. The company is the fastest growing manufacturer of hand instruments in Europe and the market leader in the Nordic countries. LM joined Planmeca Group by company acquisition in 1999. In 2003 LM acquired Swedish Amdent AB, now LM Dental AB, the manufacturer of ultrasonic scaler instruments and systems.
